PWD (DWS)

DWS wing of PWD has four working circles, one each at Agartala, Udaipur, Ambassa and Kumarghat. The Circle is headed by one Superintending Engineer and each circle has working divisions at different locations across the state to provide every citizen with safe water for drinking, cooking and other domestic purposes. Planning & Design unit exist to support the Chief Engineer mainly for policy, design and preparation of project proposals. Director WSSO and one Superintending Engineer also exist to look after drinking water and Sanitation works across the state. Other than important programme of the government including Atal Jal Dhara Mission, Sachh Bharat programme is also implemented by the same wing of PWD.

PWD (NH)

This wing was mainly established to look after National Highways in the state. In addition, projects under Central Sponsored Schemes (CSS) entrusted to PWD are implemented by this wing. It has working circle at Agartala. The Circle is headed by one Superintending Engineer and working divisions one  each at Kumarghat, Agartala and Baikora mainly for NH works. The projects under CSS are implemented by divisions of R&B.  Recently, Baikora division has been assigned with additional works of PMGSY also. The hierarchy of NH wing is given below:

PWD (PMGSY)

The basic objective of the wing for extending connectivity to the rural areas by all weather roads so as to give the access to all habitations having population 250+ and the programme viz. PMGSY is implemented by this wing. It has two working circles, one each at Agartala and Kumarghat. The Circle is headed by one Superintending Engineer and working divisions at different locations across the state to look after PMGSY works. The hierarchy of PMGSY wing is given below:

PWD (R&B)

 PWD(R&B) has five working circles, two at Agartala, one each at Kumarghat, Ambassa and Udaipur. The circle is headed by one Superintending Engineer and each circle  has working divisions at different locations across the state. The same divisions are also looking after works of buildings also. Planning and Design unit of PWD (R&B) exists to support the Chief Engineer, PWD (R&B) mainly for policy, design and preparation of project proposals. One monitoring cell also exists in headquarters, responsible for monitoring of works in the department. PWD(R&B) deals with all establishment matters for employees including engineers under Tripura Engineering Service.

PWD (WR)

Water resource wing  of PWD is located at Visvesvaraya complex. The main objective of the wing is to augment irrigation facilities and for river protection with flood management works. It has four working circles, one each at Agartala, Udaipur and Kumarghat. The Circle is headed by one Superintending Engineer and each circle has working divisions at different locations across the state to construct and maintain various schemes like Lift, Medium, Diversion; Deep, Shallow and Artisan wells; Pick-up wires, tanks, small pumps, water harvesting and watershed management works. Planning & Design unit exist to support the Chief Engineer mainly for policy, design and preparation of project proposals.
